Schools’ out for Lisa Lucchese, who recently completed her CPA Ontario CFE over a three day examination period, but that doesn’t mean the learning stops there, as Lisa reminds us, “It does not mark the end of learning as that is a lifelong process in this career!” After a year long journey with CPA Professional Education Program (PEP) she has learned a lot about herself and has advice for those going through the same process to become a Chartered Professional Accountant.

Do not be afraid of taking charge, “Speak up! You may surprise yourself with your leadership abilities.” This will also help drive your whole team succeed when everyone works together, everyone wins, clients and coworkers. Have a plan! “A key success factor in this process is the ability to manage your time, which is better facilitated through a well thought out plan for daily life.” And while in your daily life make sure to surround yourself with a positive, supportive group of people, “They will push you to be your best and bring good vibes into your life.” Lisa will continue her articling program with us at HSS and we fully support and encourage her continuation to her CPA designation.

We can think of a few of our employees that will need this advice as they continue to reach amazing achievements, Maria Kosinevsla and Jordan Gabriel have recently passed their CPA Ontario Core 1 Exam. These bright young professionals joined us in June as articling students after having both graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Ted Rogers School of Management at Ryerson University.

HSS is extremely proud of all of our team members and want to send out our support and congratulations to Lisa, Maria and Jordan. We look forward to watching you amazing achievements come to fruition.
