The Dora Mavor Moore Awards: Hogg Shain & Scheck is proud of its clients for their dedication to Toronto’s art scene

The Dora Mavor Moore Awards took place on Monday June, 25th at the Winter Garden Theatre, celebrating excellence in Toronto’s Performing Arts. Hosted by actor Astrid Van Wieren, it awarded many excellent nominees, including some of our clients.
The Dora Mavor Moore Awards honour creators from over 200 theatre, dance and opera productions in 48 categories over the following major divisions: General Theatre, Independent Theatre, Theatre for Young Audiences, Dance and Opera. A jury of eight-to-ten members from the professional performing arts community votes on each award and their desired recipient.
Hogg Shain & Scheck was excited to sponsor this event and is proud to announce that some of its clients were awarded recognition during this year’s Dora Mavor Moore Awards. Here is some of our clients and the award:
- DanceWorks landed one award for “Chasing the Path” (Outstanding Original Choreography)
- Peggy Baker Dance Projects was taped for Outstanding Performance
- Jon Kaplan Audience Choice Award was handed out to “Jerusalem”, produced by Outside the March and Company theatre
- Against the Grain received 5 awards for Outstanding Production, Outstanding Performance and Outstanding Choreography
